Office of Transparency Redesign
This project involved an entire redesign of the Office of Transparency website, transparency.uiowa.edu. It had been 8 years since a major redesign. It was redesigned in the spring of 2024 using Drupal CMS and moved to SiteNow v3 in order to ensure web brand standards across the University of Iowa. I worked with one task force team member to determine a new menu structure, laid out all site pages, refreshed homepage taglines and some site copy, and selected all site images.
The primary objectives of site efforts were focused on ensuring that the site had a clear and defined audience, streamlining content, taking primarily text-heavy pages and breaking them up visually into easy-to-digest content, providing an intuitive main menu structure, and consolidating interconnected content. Additionally, many new functions were implemented in this version, including: refreshing page layouts, updated dynamic imagery, optimizing user experience, and new calls-to-action throughout the site. This site follows AP style guidelines, which is the writing style of the University of Iowa. The site below was launched in spring 2024.
